Autumn Fashion Part 1

As of September 22, 2017 it will officially be AUTUMN.  And as fall returns I get a warm, fuzzy feeling for sweaters, boots and the all-important pumpkin spice latte.  For me, I love to stay on trend as much as possible, but it can be daunting. 

How do I know what’s on trend?

How do I incorporate new items into my existing wardrobe?

How can I upgrade the outfits I already own?

 This begins the 3 part series of Autumn Fashion 2017!
I’m going to tackle the first topic of the three in this article.

AUTUMN FASHION PART 1

WHAT’S ON TREND

I spend time each season window shopping, clicking through my fav clothing websites and paging through catalogues.  I get a feel about what is on trend by noticing what the repeated styles are within these venues.

 This season I have seen:

>crushed velvet
>bell sleeves
>fringe
>lace details
>ponchos
>deep yet vibrant colors (think wine or mustard) &
>natural stone jewelry

Here are a few items I found that really hit the mark.

This rust blouse shouts out fall in the best possible ways.  The color is perfect for transitioning into the season, the bell sleeves are on point for the trend and the flow of the peasant style works on any body type.  It also takes the lattice neckline look that was so hot in summer and brings it into the fall. Here is the top that was calling my name when I was in Dress Barn a few weeks ago.  The way the velvet hits the light will get you noticed anywhere!  This blush pink can be worn in all seasons but the texture is exclusive to cooler temperatures. Available in sizes S-3X.  If you're unsure about the velvet, the first option of a bell sleeve peasant top may be more your style.
